The Guerin Children’s Center offers specialized care for children in neonatology, gastroenterology, cardiac services, orthopedics and neurology, among other specialties. Propelled by an unprecedented $100 million donation from the Shapell Guerin Family Foundation, the 23,000 SF, 26-bed inpatient and outpatient pediatric program is housed in the Saperstein Critical Care Tower and incorporates both advanced technologies and leading-edge research to serve as a healing destination for children both nationally and internationally.
Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Community Hospital Medical Office Building
When the area’s previous hospital closed in 2007, more than a million residents of Los Angeles County were left underserved. This sparked a public-private partnership among Los Angeles County, Martin Luther King Jr. Los Angeles Healthcare Corporation and regents from the University of California to construct an entirely new hospital campus, which included the 52,000 SF, two-story MOB that sits at the entrance of the campus.
Level 1 includes imaging, pharmacy, dialysis, dental and clinics while Level 2 houses ambulatory surgery with four operating rooms, prep/recovery, sterile processing, wound care and infusion. The building also includes shelled space for future expansion.
Mark Goodson Building, First Floor MRI Remodel
A new MRI suite, including a new 3.0T MRI room and shelled space for a future MRI, a tech control room, two MRI equipment rooms, a procedure room to accommodate a mobile C-Arm, a stretcher alcove, three dressing rooms, a gowned waiting area and clean supply.
Comprehensive Breast Center
A center housing 5 mammography suites, 1 stereotactic, 4 ultrasounds, 16 exam rooms and an ultrasound procedure room.
Tower Hematology & Oncology
A second and third floor expansion/renovation and interior cosmetic upgrade of approximately 40,000 SF including infusion bays, clinic spaces, laboratory, administration, pharmacy and support spaces.
Pediatric 8NE Quad Room Renovation
The project includes new Pediatric Acute Care Patient Rooms.
Sixth Floor North Patient Tower Renovation
A 24,000 SF ADA compliant renovation of the North Patient Tower’s Sixth Floor Medical Surgical Units and ICU including 52 med/surg patient rooms with toilets, 4 isolation rooms, 6 ICU rooms, and upgrades to pantry rooms, support spaces, vestibule charting areas, nurse stations, dictation and medication rooms.
Ventana Building: Linear Accelerator Suite
An approximately 7,300 SF linear accelerator suite on the first floor of the Ventana Building, which houses a linear accelerator suite with a control room, linear equipment room, four exam rooms, med prep/clean supply room, dosimetry room, physicist office, gurney scale alcove, conference room, lounge, hoteling/offices, waiting/reception, subwait, ADA doctor’s offices, nurse station, soiled utility, reprocessing and support spaces.
