Criterion provided Medical Equipment Planning and Transition services to effectively relocate SFGH’s staff and services from its existing buildings into a new nine-story, 284 acute-care bed hospital housing Surgery, Radiology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, NICU, ICU, Medical/Surgical, Sterile Processing, Clinical Laboratory, Pharmacy and Environmental Services. A smooth transition was critical for allowing SFGH to maintain clinical/operational functions, consistent patient care, operational integrity and safety, and enhance staff productivity throughout the move.
The primary goals of the SFGH Rebuild project were to design and deliver a seismically-safe, Level I trauma center that promotes patient safety, enhances the delivery of clinical care, promotes staff retention and recruitment, maintains hospital infrastructure, complies with all regulatory standards/attains specialty certifications, and maintains current service provision during the hospital rebuild
