Laboratory Relocation

Merced, California

A multi-phase laboratory relocation consolidating approximately 181,525 SF of laboratory space on the UC Merced campus. The first phase includes Building 2A (Life and Environmental Sciences and Mechanical Engineering) with 25 wet labs, 32 dry labs, 11 classroom labs (8 wet and 3 dry) and a chemical stockroom. The second phase includes Building 3A with 52 wet labs, 49 dry labs, a BSL3 (bio safety level 3) lab, an ABSL3 (animal bio safety level 3) lab, a vivarium, 4 wet classroom labs and 4 dry classroom labs.

Criterion’s laboratory move consulting services entail inventory process instruction to UC Merced grad students, physical site walks of approximately 180 existing research labs, coordination meetings in preparation of individual moves, and the development of an overall move schedule, scoping documents and a communication plan.
