48X Complex

Sacramento, CA

Occupying an entire city block just east of the main hospital building, the 48X Complex – named after its location at 48th and X Streets in Sacramento – will become the largest ambulatory surgery center in the United States upon completion. The surgical complex is programmed to include 14 ambulatory operating rooms, two minor procedure rooms, four Interventional Radiology rooms, 60 Pre and Post recovery (PACU) bays, a 14 room, 23-hour observation unit, lab, radiology, retail pharmacy and 100,000 GSF of surgical subspecialty clinics. The center will also include clinical support, pharmacy, imaging and physical therapy services and administrative support space.
