Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion

Named in honor of cancer research advocates Bill and Amy Koman, the Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion provides a plethora of specialty ambulatory services for breast health, urology, sports medicine and spinal care. The state-of-the-art facility houses eight surgery suites, imaging, physical therapy, pain management, infusion and apheresis services in support of these specialty services. Physical therapy is provided through both indoor and outdoor rehabilitation and training, and offers advanced rehabilitation technology including infrared, real-time movement analysis cameras and a specialized treadmill and force plate to analyze gait, foot placement and weight distribution. Surgical procedures range from minimally invasive orthopedic surgeries for hand, sports and foot injuries to advanced procedures for urinary stones, bladder cancer, breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. The Sanford Stem Cell Clinical Center, also housed within the pavilion, is designed to turn stem cell research into therapies for patients with degenerative diseases.
