We are currently seeking a Procurement Lead with a minimum of ten years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, bid analysis, requisitions and inventory procedures to join our Capistrano Beach, California office. Experience with on-site delivery/logistics, relocation, and/or warehouse management is a plus. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong customer service skills and the ability to interface effectively with executive-level clients, project team members and other team members are also a requirement. This position entails occasional travel to project sites, satellite offices and client offices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or maintain equipment list, budget, reports, procurement/delivery schedule and responsibilities matrix (in Attainia or related program) in accordance with master construction schedule to ensure procurement services are completed on time and within budget
- Specify equipment based on professional and technical experience; provide equipment alternatives when required
- Assist project team in the evaluation of new equipment and accessories
- Participate in value-engineering activities to recommend equipment budget reduction opportunities
- Develop bid terms and conditions
- Compile bid packages
- Develop and complete purchase requisitions for Owner
- Coordinate with vendors on equipment bids/quotes, delivery and installation, presentations, showroom tours, training, equipment returns/repairs and invoicing
- Assist Owner with issuing Purchase Orders
- Lead or participate in the following meetings:
- Client/user group to validate/finalize equipment for procurement
- Project budget/status
- Procurement and delivery coordination
- Conduct facility assessments and inventory to evaluate existing equipment; make recommendations on items to be relocated, purchased new, leased or remanufactured
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, peers and vendors
- Assist in proposal preparation as required to secure new projects or additional services contracts
- Provide mentorship to junior-level team members
